Consignment Information
- When clothes come in for consignment, staff must sort the clothing and decide what the store will sell and what must be returned to the owner.
- Each article of clothing is then individually entered into the computer under the consigner’s number with a price, size and brief description.
- Tags must be printed and attached to each piece of clothing.
- All accepted clothing is then hung and sorted by gender and size.
- At the end of the consignment agreement, any items that were not sold are taken off the sales floor. Clothes must then be sorted into those that are to be sent to charity and those that are to be returned to their owners. Three days are taken to sort through all of the clothes and bag them so that they can be returned to their proper owners.
- Any unsold items that are not picked up once the consignment agreementhas ended will then be all donated to charities of Li’l Sprouts’ choosing.
